neighbourhood guide

a local guide

one of Vancouver’s most vibrant and sought-after neighborhoods. Known for its stunning beaches, lush parks, and laid-back lifestyle, Kitsilano (or "Kits" to the locals) offers a perfect balance of urban convenience and natural beauty. Whether you're considering moving here, investing in property, or simply curious about what makes this neighborhood so special, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know.

overview

Kitsilano might be the most recognized neighbourhood in Vancouver. One of the main attractions of living in Kitsilano is its proximity to the natural wonders of the city.

in addition to its beautiful scenery and beaches, Kitsilano boasts a vibrant commercial district along West 4th Avenue, lined with an eclectic mix of boutique shops, trendy cafes, and acclaimed restaurants. The neighbourhood’s lively atmosphere and thriving arts scene provide residents with ample opportunities for entertainment, whether it be attending local festivals, exploring art galleries, or catching a live performance at one of the many theaters nearby.

Kitsilano is home to many families and longterm owners, but in more recent years this neighbourhood has adopted a “Hip Suburban” vibe with the migration of millennial’s. Being born and raised in Kitsilano myself, I still know it for its trendy and boho roots, with many of my favourite “hidden gems” still running strong.
