Fairview offers a mix of urban sophistication and residential tranquility, making it a prime destination for those seeking a balanced lifestyle. With its central location, stunning city and mountain views, and close proximity to key amenities like Granville Island, Cambie Village, and the bustling Broadway corridor, Fairview is an ideal area for both homeowners and investors.
overview
it’s called fairview for a reason – come home to some of the best views of the city in this central neighbourhood
Fairview is Kitsilano’s neighbouring neighbourhood. It offers a delightful mix of urban convenient and serene residential areas. I personally like to describe it as the the more central Kitsilano with continuous development potential. My reasoning for this is because it includes important landmarks such as Vancouver General Hospital, City Hall, and the hottest transit hub in the city – the intersection of Cambie St and Broadway. In the last 10-ish years this neighbourhood has definitely gained popularity.
Fairview is split into two sides, “Fairview Slopes” & “Fairview.” Both locations have their charms, but as indicated in the title, homes in Fairview Slopes have arguably the best, unobstructed views of downtown Vancouver, North Shore mountains, and the water. You are also only steps away from the Vancouver Seawall, dog parks and running spots, what a bonus! Nestled between the bustling downtown core and picturesque False Creek, Fairview appeals to a diverse range of residents, making it a sought-after place to call home

Three words – BROADWAY MILLENNIUM LINE. Fairview being in the middle of Vancouver, with an easy commute to all the popular neighbourhoods, is also going to host one of the new Broadway Millennium Line Stops. This is additionally significant as this new Line will connect with the already popular Canada Line that currently runs down Cambie St, from downtown to the Vancouver Airport. An already central hub is about to get even more convenient.

There are a few Elementary schools available in Fairview: Tennyson and for French immersion, L’Ecole Bilingue. The major public Secondary School is Kitsilano, which is well known for both its English and French immersion programs. However, York House and Little Flower Academy are two all-girls private schools that are also conveniently located to Fairview.

Housing options in Fairview are varied, catering to different lifestyles and preferences. This neighbourhood offers a mix of single-family homes, townhouses, and condominiums. Many of the stratified condominiums in Fairview are home to proud longterm owners, hospital employees, young couples and families. With the gained popularity of this neighbourhood, there are also many new buildings being developed and an entire Broadway Plan that has been approved by the city. With the combination of convenience and housing opportunities, this neighbourhood is getting set up for an even more amazing future. I wouldn’t sleep on this neighbourhood if you are considering either an investment property or home in a community focused area. The neighbourhood’s accessibility and proximity to amenities make it a desirable place to live.
